"Julie" is a purebred Basset Hound, approximately eight years old, who
came from a Sabinal puppy mill that recently closed down. Despite
minimal care and far too many litters behind her, Julie is in pretty
good shape physically. Her eye problems were mostly resolved with
surgery, but she will always have limited vision in one eye. Julie is
now spayed, heartworm negative, up to date on shots and cured of
coccidia. She is micro-chipped and available for adoption to a home
without small children or cats. Since we did not receive AKC papers
with Julie, we can't name her breeders, even though we know who they
were. They were in the "business" of milling Bassets in Sabinal for
roughly ten years -- hundreds of puppies each year -- and in the most
unimaginable conditions. If you would like to offer a good home to
Julie for her remaining years please contact us. Nobody deserves it
more than her!

"Sara" is approximately ten years old and was surrendered to Etosha by a resident of San Antonio. She arrived with an embedded chain around her neck, covered by fleas and ticks and loaded with internal parasites. This sweetheart is in excellent health these days, moderately active and house trained. She's spayed, heartworm negative, up to date on shots and micro-chipped. Sara would be a perfect companion for a family that already has an older dog. Cats and children over six years okay.
