Redford, 2011. Loved and spoiled rotten by Joe & Cindy Egan

"Achilles" with his new best friend, Lauren. It's unfortunate his previous owner didn't realize how much this dog adores children, although we must admit Achilles made the transition from home to rescue to new home far more smoothly than most. He's obviously very happy now and having a great time.

"Bella" (RRRI) and "Achilles" (Etosha). These lucky pups are just two of many to be placed in good homes by two Texas RR rescues in 2011.

"Lucky Lucy" was rescued in November 2011 in the company of two purebred Mastiffs. Stress made her pluck out most of her feathers, but she’s in great shape now and was adopted by an Etosha volunteer.

"Sissy" was rescued from San Antonio animal control in 2009 and is doing great in her new home.

"Leo" relaxing in his new home.

Ridgebacks generally make great companions for children if they're raised with kids who've been taught to treat animals with respect and compassion.

Who says they don't like water?

"Gitano" (three-year-old Bluetick) leaving for his new home in Cibolo (Tx) Many thanks to the Taylor family for giving this great dog a chance at a home of his own.

Summertime at Etosha.

"Hattie" (right) in her new home with a friend. Most Coonhounds really DO make fine companions and enjoy being indoors with their human families

"Doc Holiday" was adopted at the age of eight years and is enjoying his senior years now with a family in San Antonio.

Travelin' in Style - thanks to Pilots N Paws for transporting this RR pup.

Coonhounds are great house dogs. This is Monroe, adopted in 2015.

Arlo Guthrie in his new home.
